NEXTSTACK / PRIVACY · UPDATED 1 OCTOBER 2026
Your information.
Your choices.
NextStack uses your information to run your account, save your learning, and respond when you request a service. You can manage your records in your account, or contact karandey3@outlook.com with a privacy request.
Account and learning records
Google sign-in shares your name, email and profile details needed for authentication. It does not give NextStack access to your Gmail inbox. We store the profile information you choose to provide, learning preferences, saved items, quiz attempts and learning progress. Signed-in Traverse practice includes your saved code, exercise answers and progress. Practice XP is a personal learning counter, separate from published-lesson XP.
Guest practice and your device
Guest practice stays in this browser. Signing in does not silently merge it into your account: you can review an import of activities that your account has not started. A local backup is kept before import. Essential cookies maintain your session, and local storage holds preferences and recoverable drafts. On a shared device, sign out and clear your site data when you finish. Downloaded exports and guest drafts are not erased by deleting your online account.
Contact, services and resumes
When you enquire about a service, we store the contact details and message you submit so we can respond. Resumes are optional, stored in a private bucket and accessible to you and authorized administrators. Download links expire. You can list, download and delete your uploaded resumes in your account; up to five files may be stored at a time. Do not upload another person’s private information without their permission.
Pip and online rooms
Pip’s ordinary conversation is held in the current page session and clears on reload. Guide replies need no AI. Online games store the room, participants and game moves so two signed-in players can play together. Anyone you share an invitation code with may attempt to join its available seat. Rooms expire after two hours; expired rooms are removed during subsequent room maintenance. Same-device games do not require a room.
Optional AI
Local AI processes prompts on your device. Downloading a model or the Python runtime connects to its file host, which receives ordinary network information such as your IP address. You choose when to download a model; core lessons, quizzes and JavaScript exercises work without one. Clear this site’s browser storage to remove cached local data.
ChatGPT connections are available only when enabled for this site and your account. If you authorize one, your questions, relevant lesson context and submitted work are sent through NextStack to OpenAI. Connection credentials are encrypted on the server and are separate from your learning records. This does not provide access to your ChatGPT conversation history or memories. Disconnect in AI settings and manage the external grant in ChatGPT. Check AI answers before relying on them.
Providers and operational records
Supabase provides authentication, the database and private storage; Vercel hosts the site. Google provides Google sign-in. These providers process data under their own terms and may process it outside your country. Server logs and rate-limit records help diagnose failures and prevent abuse. We avoid recording lesson answers, resume contents and authentication tokens in application error logs. We do not sell your personal information or include third-party advertising trackers. The free platform does not collect payment card information.
Access, correction and deletion
Your account lets you edit profile details, export your account and learning records, and delete resumes. Account deletion requires a recent sign-in and explicit confirmation. It removes your account and associated application records, including linked enquiries and uploaded resumes. Administrative accounts or records connected to billing or administrative audit history require a support review instead of automatic deletion.
We keep active account records to provide the service until you remove them or request deletion. Contact us about enquiries submitted while signed out, corrections that are not available in your account, and any retention exception. Provider security logs and protected recovery backups may remain for their configured retention period and are not used as an active account. Copies you download or share remain under your control.
