The free learning platform

NextStack provides Traverse, Skill Tree learning paths, practical exercises, interactive simulations, curated resources and Pip’s guided assistance. Current platform learning access is free. No card or subscription is required. You can practise as a guest on your device or sign in to save supported learning records across devices. Any future paid platform option will show its scope and price before you choose to purchase it.

Your account and your work

Provide accurate registration information, keep your sign-in secure and use only accounts you are authorized to access. You retain ownership of your original projects and submitted work. NextStack stores and processes that work to provide the features you use, as explained in the privacy notice. Account settings include export and deletion controls. If your account cannot be deleted automatically, contact us for a review.

Learning, feedback and AI

Exercises teach specific ideas and do not cover every production edge case. Executable tests check the supplied cases; passing them does not prove that software is secure or ready to deploy. Traverse practice XP and completion markers describe practice, not an accredited qualification or professional certification. Architecture labs are clearly described simulations.

AI coaching is optional and can make mistakes. Local AI needs a compatible device and a model download; Python exercises download a runtime on first use. A ChatGPT subscription connection works only if it is enabled for NextStack and eligible for your account. External providers may set their own terms and limits. Authored lessons and checks remain usable when AI is unavailable.

Personal services

Build Lab personal training, Profile Lab and career consultations are separate one-to-one services. Contacting us is an enquiry and does not create a charge or confirm a booking. Before paid work starts, we agree the deliverables, availability, price and applicable cancellation or refund arrangements directly. Alumni guidance and any ongoing support apply only as described in that service agreement.

Responsible use

Do not access other people’s accounts or records, disrupt the service, misuse private room invitations, upload unlawful material or submit personal information you are not entitled to share. Use the learning content for your own learning and keep source attributions when sharing material that permits reuse. Your use of linked third-party resources is subject to their terms.

Availability and outcomes

We work to keep NextStack reliable and correct, but do not promise uninterrupted availability, employment, admissions, business income or a particular learning outcome. Keep an export of important work. News, jobs and external resources may change; check the original source before making a decision. Examples and simulations are identified in their learning context.

Support and changes
